Ok, I want to replace the nasty vertical max-flo on my impulse with something, smaller, lighter and far less fugly.

Looked at the dye regs, seem quite nice, also things like the AKA sidewinder might do. But i've got serious concerns about how many regs can feed my gun consistently at the pressure I need.

Between 90 and 110 psi. Obviously with a little up and down from those figures for indoor play etc.

Anybody KNOW of a reg that will feed my gun consistently at this pressure, any help really appreciated as the max-flo just ain't bling!!

Cheers

90-110 Psi?

Your efficiency must me aweful? Unless we are talking about a front reg not a vert reg?

I am running a max flow on my impy which I am bumping up soon to 300psi, and then using my low pressure front reg to bring the solenoid pressure down to 110psi

But I couldnt run the marker on 110psi without the dwell being set really high and gettin no efficiency!

Sorry, I'm just curious what you mean and if I read it correctly:rolleyes:

Judging by the title of the thread, I would assume that IanC is moving his vertcal Max Flow to on the bottle, and having a secondary reg in its place.

Would a Trinity Reg be any good? I know they use them on the Trix and they are low pressure :)

Yeah, I see where Sean is coming from - even with an LPR the impy needs quite a high valve pressure, as it's just the solenoid pressure that gets reduced to 90-110. Otherwise the efficiency takes a hit

Ok guys, cheers for the replys.

To clear things up my efficincy isn't bad at all, i've just replaced the entire guts of my impulse with New Designz bits.

Lightweight Bolt
High Efficiency Valve (uses a tiny spring in the valve body, and a very small valve piston rather than the giant standard one.)
Hammer Housing (small internal diameter, worth about 200 xtra shots from a tank)
Hammer
Slick Shot Shaft (very smooth action, has a teflon like coating)
LPR combo

Basically all the parts are light as possible so you don't waste air moving sticky parts. A team mate running the same setup at the weekend shot 10 pots and a hopper from an 88 tank. Much better than it used to be, which was 6 pots!

I am looking to change my vertical secondary reg. to something better, smaller etc. Just need advice from anyone who has shot one at such low pressures.

Cheers

Ian

?!?!?! 88ci is 1.5l right?

I've got standard internals and I get more than that already!!! What pressure tank? I hope it's just a 3000psi one!

Just been for a nose round the net, seems that I need to set my input pressure at 140 ish and then back the dwell right down, which should give me mucho efficiency. Low pressure is nice and very kick free, but Fcuk buying a new tank for the sake of 50 psi!

Oh and the tank on the other gun is a 1.5L 4500! Seems that it wasn't setup properly from new I guess. Oh well, never trust an expert! Originally the gun was doing 700 rounds from a 68, very poo!

So anyway, I still want a very shiney low pressure reg with a high bling factor, any more recommendations?

Yeah, definitely! I get two game's worth of anything between 5 and 7 pots from my tank, and it's still well above 1000psi after! I never go beyond that just in case, but at the end of a day I usually have enough when I get home to annoy the hell out of the cats.... :D

My input pressure is up at 190 by the way, but my stock internals DO give a bit more kick than I'd like. And LOADS more than my new shocker, which is just so sweet :p
