Well Robbo, now that I have seen your post I would have indeed said Deoxyribose nucleic acid as I have not heard of the other one. I can give you some other biological definitions if you want:
RNA - Ribose nucleic acid and ach - acetylcholine. Also I can tell you that an action potential is generated when an electrical impulse is travelling along an axon, the Na+/K+ pump stops working, Na+ gates open and Na+ ions flood into the axon while the K+ ions diffuse out thus causing depolarisation to occur and the charge in the axon to go from -70mV to +40mV.
Now if you have any questions on a level biology I will be more than pleased to help you out, e.g. Muscle contraction with the ratchet mechanism.
Hmmm, quoting and understanding are two vastly different animals young Charles but more definitions I do not need as my Biology, Brain and Behaviour course taken oh so many years ago has already fulfilled my definition desires.
But lets' not lock intellectual horns on this one as the DNA question was just a set up for my attempt at a joke (one which seems to have flown over your head like a jumbo jet) and my memories of neural pathway action potentials isn't what it used to be

PS John, without the aid of any book and just from memory I swear, The Krebbs cycle was just another name for the TCA cycle was it not, the glycolytic pathway otherwise known as the TriCarboxylic acid cycle ?
And ATP is Adenine triphosphate is it not ?
Both these are to do with energy conversion pathways !!
hee hee, I'm on a roll
