Well, as I sat, staring at my hopper and dreading the application of sandpaper, I twisted it to get it off the droptube as I couldn't undo the adjusting collar, I noticed that I was cutting material off the hopper neck... Lo and behold, I had a built in cutting collette, so i just twisted the hopper in place until I had the right size neck, one with the proper taper (my old one had the wrong taper so if you tighten the collar, it just pushed the hopper up into the air and out of the droptube). I removed the hopper from the droptube and promptly got the collar stuck onto the drop tube. I ended up bending the prongs inward to losen the collar and then I had an epiphany!!! I WOULD NOT TOUCH THE COLLAR ONCE IT WAS SET FOR THE HOPPER NECK! I would preset the collar and then just push the hopper onto the droptube and treat the droptube like a non-adjustable one once it's set. I have actually heard of people snapping their hopper necks because they tightened the collar too much. Now, my life is much easier, and I can spend all my time playing with my trigger again
