Although i hate these cr*p threads which are only used to boost post counts, i have to disagree with you saying it should be kept to paintball only.
I find it enjoyable to read about what other paintballers think about the world in general.
we play this game for the fun of it, and why should that end when we leave the field.
Reading these " whats your favourite music etc" has made me realise what a diverse crowd we have on these forums. By having these threads on the board a newbie has a major benefit.
1 He can join a conversation that he understands and makes him feel more comfortable , rather than reading threads such as " what PSI pressure do you use?"

Also Speak you brains should be exactly that! All the others should be left to that topic e.g. classifieds should only be about selling equipment etc.
I don't mind if i read these threads as long as they are related to that forum board.

It's a question of balance...the 'what music''. 'what film...' etc. thredz are no problem - in moderation. The threads we were concerned about were basically inane conversations between a few people that were basically using the forum to replace e-mail, or else just posting stupid crapola that made the whole forum look dumb.

Everyone knows what I'm talking about, so let's get it in perspective - this ain't a 'no fun to be had here' order, it's just common sense man.

If I've said it once I've said it a gazillion times - use your brains, self-moderate, and then I don't have to make like everyone's mom and ground y'all.

Some people used this board for stuff like "Oi mate, you going to the pub tonight?"
Seriously, if you want to know if your buddies are going out for a drink, you are probably close enough to them to be able to pick up a phone and dial them up.....which is exactly what I do when I want to ask one of my teammates something (and ofcourse, they can't read ).

I think you get my point.

i know that sometimes i myself can be a bit random. BUT i think that most of the time the convos do start at painball stuff and the develop and that how u make.....friends as such.

plus, i think the specific areas such as the clasifieds and techroom are clean and 100% paintball. i mean i only started plaing for SAD cos of this site, i owe it a lot.

Also there is a huge degree of self moderation, swearing is minimal and never have i seen anybody say f***.

This is realy a good site, and partly cos everybody loves painball and the speak your brains is that, if not a bit random sometimes.
