Best bet is get some to help....one holds the back, one holds the front and twist....Job done. Nobody could get my barrel undone alone but with two of us.. job was a gooden!

In summary, to unscrew it make sure you turn the front clockwise (looking from the tip). Use two people as stated above and you'll be fine. Wear marigolds if it makes you feel pretty or if you can't grip it.

Look to the bathroom for help. The rubber backed bath mat will give you the grip you need. It sticks to the barrel and give a little girth giving you super human strength. I cut ours up and put some in my tool box. I dumped the remains in the neighbors garbage can. My wife has nearly gone crazy looking for that mat.

Bath mats are a Health and Safety super God.

They help prevent most bathroom slippage incidents, from bathing to showering.

The only "slippage" that it won't prevent, is accidently "Slipping it in" when the wife is bending over, washing her hair.

Slipping in the bathroom can be deadly kids. Remember, don't be a Tw@t, use the mat.

It also helps to lubricate the threads with Vaseline, to reduce stickage.
