Re: Beaks

Scutty,

You use a matrix right? Can you later the timing so the bolt stays back a little longer this should allow the halo to feed properly.

I too have used a matrix (with a halo B on top) and had the thing going so quickly that I'd only get the odd one or two balls feed out. this I believe is because the bolt doesn't stay back long enough to feed a ball.

I'm left handed and play either back center or back right because the opposition looking at me must inherently shoot at me with their weaker hand if I'm crossing it up, which although a lot of people talk about and a few actually get good at shooting both ways, most people aren't and even the few that are still have tendencies to be a little slower lefty. What people should do and what actually happens on the field are not one and the same, or we'd all be playing for Dynasty or Strange, wouldn't we?

So KillerOnion. Does that mean that anyone who can shoot with both hands comfortably should be playing pro? I can and I am certainly not pro standard......yet :) Of course there will still be tendencies when shooting with your weaker hand, and working to eradicate your eye dominance is a very hard thing for the majority of people to do. But now-a-days more and more people are learning to shoot with both hands. Hopefully the standard of play on the whole is increasing

I used to play with a warp and i loved it but when ever I shot strings it would feed perfectly for about 20 balls then i would out shoot it and my warp would empty out so it would screw up my burns.
I'am a rookie player and i shoot equally as well if not better with my left hand (iam righty) my team even always plays me shooting left.

Are STORM not a pro team, they all use warp feeds !

The benefits of the warp feed out weigh the down points, the only problem I have with them is that I`m not used to it and it don`t feel right, but I am going to get one and once I get comfortable with it I should be able to play tighter then I do now

Hmm... I happen to be a left handed back player but I switch hands quite frequently and am pretty good at keeping my gun steady out of either side (which is all you really need to be able to do in the back - put out a straight, effective stream of paint) with not too much of a problem. When the pressure's on you have to be quicker and be able to snap just like a front guy so being able to do that is an invaluable skill no matter what. The warp feed just seems too unwieldly for me, shooting out of either side.

When I play in a back corner, I usually shoot down the tapes if I'm trying to get a front player upfield, and across the field if he gets hit or I need to play defensive. Otherwise, I'll try to get my front player shooting across and me over his shoulder since a) he can shoot across at better angles than I can from the back, b) he'll probably get shot if he's in a tight front bunker shooting down the tape at some guy in a standup can who has more time to aim and shoot, and c) if my front guy needs to move upfield, naturally the guy that has the best chance to hit him is going to be on his side of the field, since he'll be moving straight towards them if he moves straight forward, so I can't let anybody on that side of the field get a shot on him at all.

about keeping a left handed player as a back player...

it is best to put him on the left side, he will be used to leaning to the left more for boundry shots as well as have a greater angle of the field

the majority of players are right handed and if they flank, it is often on their right side, your left side

since the majority of players on your team are right handed, they will be leaning out more to the right

i tried to draw a diagram of how much easier it would be for him to view it..

your team green, opposite team red, brown bunkers, blue is sight/shots
