Okay, i just started university at leeds this year and having noticed a complete lack of a paintball club on any list that i have seen i'm going to try and start one

Now i'm probably not the best person for the job as i've only just started playing and don't really know what's what but as the saying goes, if you want something doing...

We need 20 students willing to join up signing a petition and we have three positions that need filling, captain, treasurer and secretary before the application can go through...now i'm happy to be the captain to sort everything out to start, and then i can always drop out for someone more experienced later if need be so that leaves a treasurer and secretary needed...

If anyone here is from leeds uni post up if you are interested, and if you know someone at leeds uni please contact them and point them in the direction of this thread, hopefully we can get together a team for the inter-university league as well as organising a few discounts/sponsorship deals (though i'm guessing those will be difficult, especially when the club is just starting) and apply for UKPSF membership which would get all you lovely people discounts and the like...

ps. if anyone also happens to be in the rifle club could they please post/pm me, apparently the club does paintballing trips every now and again and therefore it seems like it might be worth contacting them and seeing if they have any members would be interested...

post up if you would be interested in joining, once theres been a chance for people to find this thread i'll start working out where i can be for people to pop over and sign the petition

thanks all

Lee

unfortunately it's only student's allowed in the clubs as you have to be a part of the student union, nothing to stop you tagging along though if we're going to a walk-on or whatever or if we're sending a non-uni team to an event...

depends on the interest but hopefully we can cover everything people want to do, sup-air, woodsball, mil-sim and i've had some interest about airsoft too if we can find anywhere nearby...

riight, makes sense :)

yep, definitely will be trying to get at least one team together so that we can get into the inter-university league...most of the time we'll be trying to get club teams for any events we go to but i'll see what i can do once i know how everything is working...

Thanks a lot, from the things i've heard about NQ it was definitely somewhere i was considering for us to go regularly and any type of discount would be great...obviously i'll have to get the club started first so that i can talk to everyone and see what we are going to do but i'll keep it in mind and be sure to bring it up :)

Further to the earlier answer, sup air is the type of field used i.e. inflatable bunkers on an open area (as opposed to woodsball played in the woods). Tournament is where set sized teams play against each other usually in a round-robin under strict rules to determine the winning team, as opposed to going out just for fun with mates.

Tournaments these days are usually run on sup air fields, though many run walk-on days as well using sup air.
