As far as leaving your air system connected to the marker, as long as the oops/asa switches the air off there will be no damage caused to the reg pin.

thanks tom the only reason im asking is because a burst disk went not so long back, its all ok now as its all fixed but i was worried the burst disk had gone from over pressuring the bottle but now i know it was just a weak disk, thanks for your help lads !!!

burst disks can just fail for the hell of it, i've replaced many burst discs that have failed just to piss the owners off.
