Right....totally sticking my neck out....but I don't think the words you're reading are on that dude's post. I think he was just courting controversy jovially...I don't think anyone is ever going to be stupid enough to lay question to the female right to play the sport....it was just an innocent comment. I don't know, maybe you're just angry and read the post at the wrong time. Anyone that plays this sport knows that any human holding a paintball gun is a good thing....

It's just....this seems to be getting rather militant.

And if I was a girl and read that post.....I don't think I'd throw my gun away...but I might be unnerved after reading a post by a fellow female 'Baller claiming indignacy and prejudice from their male counterparts of the sport....a claim based purely on conjecture.

Ps, 'I like women being in this sport' (just to paraphrase)

The Mods are just forum users with powers. I don't think it was that bad, and I think most forum users would have gotten away with it because it was a throwaway comment.

The question is, would you have complained if it wasn't a mod who posted it? ;)

Not at all Fish, but it hasnt just been read in that context by me, and this just leads me back to the fact that as a mod he has some responsibility for what he posts, as we all do.

I think it would be very dramatic for chicks to throw their guns away, infact it would probably make most of us take a better aim. But the point still remains that as a mod you should lead by example and comments like that need to be thought about before posting, i dont doubt that his tone may have been in jest but forums arent the best place for that.

And yes i would have kicked up had it not been a mod, they would have been spanked regardless lol. The comment was just un-neccesary

Not that I don't fully agree with kitty :)

But I do think that it's really cool that paintball is such an accepting sport most of the time compared to most other sports.

Mixed teams is nice to see taking into account that many other sports (football, rugby etc) have seperate leagues/teams.

Seperate female/male masters/PA etc would be no fun (not that we'd find enough females!) so it's cool that the sport can accept everyone :)

I truly don't think he thought he would have caused offence in saying what he said, otherwise he wouldn't have said it.

Fair enough, but I don't think he is sexist, but was trying to be funny...
What I mean is, if this is the wrong place, just where is the right place?
