Issue 201, which should be december 05 eddition(but says January 06), And then you've got Issue 202 which is i think is right saying January 06 again?

Anyone?
)
You may have got a US edition by mistake - same mag, same issue number, different month (i.e. issue 202 is UK Jan, US Feb).

Not aware of any problems with subs - Neil was in the office this week, so was probably just Xmas post. If nothing shows by Tuesday drop me a mail and I'll look into it and stick an office copy in the post for you.

There's just no way the 450 zillion cards, letters and parcels delivered this time every year could have interfered with the delivery of PGi, I mean, surely the Post Office must realise there are ballers out there waiting like heroin addicts to read it.

Don't worry, if they don't realise...I will tell them.....

Is PGI sent out 1st class or 2nd?

I used to work for the Royal Mail.........................

Figures released last week showed that Royal Mail delivered 66.1 per cent of first class letters on the following day between 1st and 21st of December, against a target of 92.5 per cent - Although these targets are suspended over christmas:eek: .

In November last year, Postwatch recommended that customers used 2nd class post over christmas because service performance dipped by less than it did for 1st class. Over the period 93.9 per cent of 2nd class mail was deleverd on time, against a target 98.5 per cent.

Royal Mail, under chief executive Adam Crozier, reacted angrily, saying 1st class remained the quickest way of sendind mail at christmas, while lawyers acting on its behalf sent a letter stating Postwatch's actions were unlawful and actionable:eek: .

But postwatch is now claiming its case has been proven. Peter Carr, Postwatch chairman, said: "The Royal Mails own performance statistics vindicate the advice we gave to customers. The-value-for-money option at christmas is to use 2nd class stamps at a saving of 7p per item. Cusomers have the right to know what poor value 1st class post is over cristmas:eek: .

Performance this christmas was amongst the best we have delivered. Postmen/Women delivered more than 100 million more letters this December than previous Decembers. They deserve NO criticism at all in my book..........................;)

The Germans are coming

No Robbo, I worked for the Royal Mail for 5 years, I can tell you it's Friggin' hard work, gettin' up at 4am in sub-zreo temeratures then trekkin' around the streets with about 60 kilos of mail to deliver is no joke......................

Then you've got the idiots to deal with that want their giro's early and the dogs the size of lions:eek: I think Royal Mail issue steal toe cap boots now though as standard:D :D :D

Royal Mail said today that it needs £2bn in modernisation as it braces itself for an onslaught of new compatition from January 1st.

Starting next year, Britains postal system will be opened up so that rival companies can collect, sort and deliver mail for the first time since the reign of Charles II.

No less than 14 companies have regestered with regulator Postcomm to handle post in the U.K, including German firm Deutsche post and Dutch postal service TNT.

Who do you want to deliver your mail, the milk man?
