what i dont understand is why you need the third tube.

if they have gone the 9v route the battery aint in there anymore so whats in it.

i guess it must be the ramping pixies, you know those little green things that pull the trigger the extra times when you hit 7.5 in millenium mode.

The 3rd tube houses the LPR. The area where the battery was previously housed now holds a huge amount of air to eliminate the old center style air passage. Gas galleries and flow are greatly increased. It is a much bigger change in design than people may realize and is a very well thought out design. The width of the gun has been dramatically reduced to the point that it is about the same width as a lot of the stacked tube designs.

It's an Angel, and they just aint cool compared to Egos and DMs....

No disrespect to WDP, I like the Angels (had a speed 06), but people are very stuck in their ways and bringing out a smaller lighter model is still not enough for them.

And WDP doesn't really have a US 'flagship' Pro team anymore....:(

The new guns are shrinking continually and chopping more and more material off - which his great, and I love the prospect of such a compact gat. But there's no room left for any sweet milling to add character etc.
One of the things I liked about the older angels - particularly the darks, was the kick ass milling.

I guess the trends are going for bare minimum and easy wiping for fast turnaround. Functional and slick...but a tad boring after a while :(
