Just some thing small that people might like the idea off and thats to get you Sig or team name etc laser'd onto the barrel? that way you could keep the risk cost down low as it would just be a barrel? instead of the marker that could cost way to much to replace.:)
But i would have no probs if somthing went wrong with my barrel. I'm actually thinking of getting it done, thats is you can do that?
I'm actually looking into Etching and engraving for non metallic surfaces like hoppers etc... as we all know theres is nothing like having something of your own creation/ideas

well all just a thought...

Not looking for anything too tricky to be honest.

The machine can do it, but really depends on what it is you want as to whether I want to take it on.

Not trying to be awkward or rude, it's just that sometimes, things just are not worth the hassle and headache for the amount of money involved....

Cheers

No mate, not nothing manic or massive, just 2 small dragons fighting on a cliff edge

No honestly, just a simple name or maybe team name or logo, just basic mate.

And i assume that if things do go a bit tits up, it can be anno'ed over cant it ?????????

To be honest, i would never hold you responsibly anyway, i know your not a business and your only doing it as i've asked, so i go in eye's wide open  :D

Just wondering if you can do something simple on ego barrels or body ??

Dude, charge more money....

First off - 15 quid is too cheap, especially if you include the shipping. Any company would charge a set-up fee, of say 75-150 quid, to set up the machine with the artwork, and then after that pricing would depend on how long it takes the machine to do the work, and how many peices you want done.
I think that you should be able to have free paintball, AND throw Pete an ad, if you have 16g in machinery that allows people to customise their guns etc. I know you're a great guy and all, and you want to help the 'community', but I think you need to at least double your price, just to stop it being a complete waste of your time.

Just my opinion of course, and it's sure to be popular with the people that already asked you to do the work...

The machine is capable of engraving pretty much anything.

I'd have a blast on a loader, but I'm not 100% on the power settings and it's an expensive mistake to make if something goes wrong.

Problem on a loader is staying within the focal point of the beam as they slope all over the place.

If anyone has a broken shell they want to offer as a guinea pig, then please post up...

Barrels would be easy enough as I would do them as a flat item and just not make it too big so they only curve round a little.

Only down side to engraving a barrel is that the marker would have to be to hand so that I can make sure it's in the right place when it is screwed on to the marker.

Makes shipping costs higher due to the value.....

Hi Missy,

Many thanks for the input.

To be honest, it's not all about the money.

Sometimes, it's nice to just do your bit for the community, for a little pocket money, you know...

I earn plenty doing what I do already. I just find it a bit interesting doing unusual stuff. So long as everyone understands that there is no guarantee, then I'm cool with it.

Like I siad already, I'm only interested in the easy stuff. As soon as it's not interesting anymore, then the price changes to regular 'daytime' tariffs.

The machine does all the hard work. I just set it. I've been working with lasers now for almost 15 years and it just gets easier an easier......

£15.00 is just for the battery cover. It's almost flat and I have the layout already as I;ve done most of the team guns. Other jobs will dictate alternative prices, depending on the time involved.

Let me know if there's anything I can do for you in the future ;););)

Cheers
