I know it sounds lame but i have bad knees so i use skate board pads  they are really good but no chance of a bounce :( ........plus you can wear them all day :)

Ive been using the Empier vents gel pads. They offer knee and shin protection, as well as that because the pad is basically like a sleeve around your leg, it reduces the pressure pains you sometimes get from the fastenings, something which i recomend you look out for when getting pads of any kind,.
Seconded. The groundpounder knee pads with their slide shorts are a very good combo. I've not tried the full length skinz thingys, and i haven't heard anything about them

Im planning to get the Dye 08, looks good, they incorporated a knee brace in it, sounds good for people with knee problems ( torn ACL or minor instability ) like me. Being a player who has to wear both a pad and a brace. Dye will make life a heck of a lot easier.
