Ok anyone got some idea's on how much it costs to insure paintball kit for a trip abroad???

I'm talking of Tricked Impy/Maxy 1.1 or 0.8/Freak System then all my paintball clothing :)

Also anyone have some up to date places to get the above insured, since I did a search and the links were 6months+ old and things can change pritty quick :)

Also I'm planning on going abroad with my kit a few times this year, so a years cover might be good instead of just a one time insurance...

The threads you are talking about were about personal travel insurance. To get your kit insured you need either a specialist sports equipment insurance or add the paintball kit to your contents insurance...the Personal insurance for travel does have cover but it is crap it only covers individual items to around the £250-500 mark (depends on the company) and you have to pay anything from £35-50 of the first part of the claim. Think how many people have uninsured camcorders when they go on a regular holiday

I had this conversation with the people who supply my travel insurance and asked to be put through to the relevant dept. Unfortunately they don't do it and apparently nor do any of the companies who offer travel insurance so you will have to go to a regular insurance brokers and ask them to find you a company to do it...good luck as contents is the best place for it really, anything can be insurred you just have to find the companys that do it.

Cover you for playing paintball does it? Doubtful as most all insurance companies load your policy if they allow it at all...mine does allow it and don't load it...serious deja vu now as per the old insurance thread before. I spent several hours on the phone when I was originally searching for treavel insurance...this was some years ago btw..and everyone who has tried since are getting great prices until they say the paintball word...not all insurrance companies are equal...oh and mine paid out for medical cost after I needed to claim and it wasn't paintball related but it is included as a clause on my policy..although it is included anyway I insisted that it was there in black and white so incase some american hospital tried to wriggle from treating me after they found out how I had hurt myself...luckly nothing as bad as needing hospital treatment yet...did pop my shoulder but big handfuls of painkillers and I carried on.

Welshy, my personal goods are covered as well but only to the tune of £500 total sum within the travel insurance. You have to get it specified on your contents insurance or get specialised sports equipment insurance....dig out your documents if you still have them and look the personal items section up I think you will find and be very surprised to find you were hardly covered at all if your paintball kit had gone for walk.
To think you have sufficient cover is somewhat like the people that go abroad (within europe) and only take an E111 form....bloody worthless...they are supposed to honour those forms and will if only severely pushed, they want proper accident insurance documents.
