It all depends on your budget and if you want to buy new or second hand and ofcourse if your playin woodsball or tourny.

If you are on a low budget as you say then look no furthur than the for sale threads on here, you can pick up some very good kit at good prices.

Buying new you can check out the following depending again on your budget.

Online

http://www.corruptedpb.com/shop.asp?offers=1 Planet Eclipse Gear

http://www.planeteclipse.com/ Planet Eclipse Gear

http://www.lpspaintball.biz/cart.html Various Brands

http://www.bzpaintball.co.uk/ Various Brands

All excellent.

LIPs / Planet and BZ have retail shops also depending on your location.

Kit Wise you will always want to look at getting a decent mask for your first purchase. Prices range from £40 to £70 NEW
Best to try some different ones on because everyone has different views but go for a JT Proflex, E Vents,Grillz or one of the Dye masks and you wont go wrong.
Jerseys/Pants/Elbow Pads/Knee Pads again are all down to your own preference and most people get the kit that matches there marker if you know what I mean. Prices can range from £15 second hand to £98 new for pants with jerseys and pads being £15/£20 second hand to £35 New.

Other kit you will need is a HPA Tank 3000Psi or 4500Psi and a loader/hopper.

Halo loaders are a good budget buy or for a little more second hand you good buy a Vlocity for £45.
Air Tanks range from Budget steels ones to Fibre Wrapped ones at £100+ (Which are alot lighter).

Can't really give you advise on which marker to get because I have only used Ego's which are awesome markers but maybe outside your price range.

I went through all this what should I get newbie stuff when I first started in June 2008. PM me if you want to know anything else.

Depends on your budget and what are you looking to play? Lips is a good site to have a look around or give them a call. Will point you in the right direction. As damocarlisle has said.

If your looking to play speedball then the basics are;

Marker - I reccomend anything from Planet Eclipse, aka Ego5,6,7 or ETEK/ETEK2

Hopper - I reccomend something like a Empire Reloader B or a B2 or a Halo.

Air - Any Fibre Wrap bottle either a 1.1l or a 0.8l.

Goggles - DO NOT buy becuase they are cheap, make sure you get a decent pair of goggles i reccomend Vforce Grillz, Empire E-vents or JT Flex's.

These are the essentials to begin playing. Then you can worry about your playing kit E.g. Jerseys and Pants etc, But this all comes down to personal preference, i reccomend www.lpspaintball.biz or www.planeteclipse.co.uk if you are looking to buy brand new. But as people have said it all depends on your budget.

If your looking to play woodsball then im afraid i cant help :(

Hope this has been helpful :)

thanks but what im looking for is a kit list...marker, hopper ect!
To give you a glue my set up when I first started was the following.

E Vents Mask

Ego 08 Marker
Halo V35 rip drive Loader
Dye Throttle 1.1L 4500 Air System

Planet Eclipse Jersey
Proto Pants
Proto Bounce Vest
Planet Elbow Pads
Planet Gauntlets

Fluffy Stick
Spare Batteries
Oil
Allen Keys
Kit Bag

Most of the above was second hand off here but still cost a fair penny. Some of the items are overkill for a beginner.

Where abouts in the country do you live? There are some great sites both up North and down South so I'm sure there be a site near you.

your right there thats a lot of good gear and wud cost a fortune :D

most people choose to start with an ion or similar but it depends on how much cash u have to spend

events are a good choice must say i use em myself and they are immense :D but there are plenty of options out there

hoppers as said the halos are good or even an evolution 3 which is reasonably priced also (think they £45 new)

u can suck up the pain for a while and put off buying the bounce vests and pads for a while but eventually ur knees cant take the punishment anymore :D

u can get some camos from about £30 which is much cheaper than a jersey and pants and do the job but dont look as fancy

you can get a steel 3000psi tank for about £40 or u can usually borrow a site bottle until u save up to get ur own
