This isn't aimed specifically at you Eric and I mean no offecnce, just your post reminded me...

I thought KOTH was supposed to be for real novice teams, or teams that haven't won divisions etc (or are in higher divisions at MM) or haven't had chance to play at tournament level...

I know that's the reason that we aren't entering the 'a' team in KOTH (even though our 'a' team is languishing in div F!) but there seems to be quite a few 'proper' teams entering their MM line up for this KOTH event.

Just wondered if I'd got the general 'vibe' of KOTH wrong?

If you look @ our squad for KOTH
Lee - Team Captain and coach
then you got
5 woodland players until after KOTH 1
3 of us started at the deep end with @ MM3
1 will start @ MM5
1 will start @ KOTH 2
So we must be still novices
 :D

Due to circumstances beyond my control i'm still at home instead of being @ Big Game Party

We are basically using this day as a training day for the front players. We aint out to prove ****, all it is is a laugh and a way to let some steam off, In fairness to u all if u have a problem wiv competion then u shouldn't be settin foot on a tourney field. If we win a game then great, if we loose then **** happens, we will get over it..............will u??? (This aint meant to offend anyone but if it does then u are a muppet)

At the end of the day you are all playin for fun, so enjoy it.:D

No man, no worries, I couldn't give a monkeys if I was playing Dynasty - it's just a game of paintball...

I was just asking about KOTH as I was checking what the deal with it was...

King of the Hill - from the horses mouth.

Guys it's ever so simple really, when you want to know the answer to a specific question, ask someone who knows.

Qualification for the KotH is based around a teams status and skill level.

Teams that we would deen as Novice and new entry:

New Entry - are teams of new players, not a re badged squad that have been playing together for less than 1 year.

Novice Teams - are teams that have been around for more than a year, and sometimes more but are inconsistant with their results.

Teams are allowed one guest player, but only if from a sister team, and not a "pro" player.

All these things considered, once a team wins Koth three times, that team is then excluded from future Koth events.

For the record,
Ben who are the "proper" teams you refer to?

Blakey.

Err, no Silentbob I didn't. No offence but I hadn't even heard of you guys  (but don't take offence cause I haven't heard of half the teams that play in the UK as it's my first year playing in tournaments).

In all honesty, no one in particular, just someone (think it was Dark Warrior) had mentioned C+D division teams. I didn't know who they are though...

It's really no big deal - I was just enquiring and now Blakey has explained all.

No drama folks, looking forward to seeing you all on the day :D
