Oh dear....
Best way to see if it is software or a bug is to pop something like a windows boot disk in and get it to boot to DOS, or use the start menu (press f8 before windows starts to load) and choose command prompt. Don't know if that command menu is in Millenium as we as a company avoided i like the plague
Once into DOS see if the keyboard behaves in there, if it don't its most likely the keyboard. If it does then it points towards a problem with the operating system, virus, corrupt driver or something along those lines
