Keeping Paintballs

Hi

Its come to my attention that bringing my own paint to a venue its far cheaper than purchasing paint from the site The only thing stopping me from bringing my own paint to a venue is looking after it.

I know that if I do not keep paint in the right conditions, or if the paint is too old, it could break in my gun. What I need to know is what are the right conditions? and how "old" does paint have to before I shouldn't use it?

Im guessing its all quite simple and it might just tell me on the boxes when they arrive; and im sure all brands are different but any general guidelines on how to store it and how long it will last will be appretiated.

the other thing stopping you from taking your paint to sites is that its illegal...

"illegal" in the sense that you will be asked to leave said site, not "illegal" as in i am breaking the law and will be sent to jail.

thought i might add that in to clear things up a bit.

Obviously its not illegal if the site allows BYO paint. Just keep it in a cupboard at room temperature and it should be fine.

So cupboard at room temperature. Ok cheers! But how long can i keep it before it runs the risk of breaking in my marker? :S

All paint will Carry a risk of breaking in the gun. Try to aim to keep it for no more than 2 months but that's just my opinion. Other thing is to turn the bags over every couple of days and leave as much as possible in the bag.

And there is a high chance that they will turn into bouncy balls if you keep them too long

Try and buy paintballs that are in vacum sealed bags as open ones degrade faster. Also rotate the box/bags on a regular basis to stop the balls becoming misshapen.
