I know what you are talking about, but they have allowed me to receive money while it is allegedly frozen and after giving some tourrettes on the phone and threatening the Ombudsman while taking the name and staff number of each person I was passed to (over 2hrs on the phone) they finally caved in and brought it down to 21 days.

i have used paypal for a super long time and at times had over a £1000 in there for months i think at one bit i had over £2000 the last time i had over a grand in the account i got a warning asking me to extend my limit which i did and no problem this was only last month........i would ring and give them so much ear ache day in day outi would also put a warning in the for sale section of ebay may cost you a few quid but think how much they will loose (all sales over £600) hit them where it hurts they may have loads but ebay controls most of it

I've had had similar amounts in and out of my account and i've had to jump through various hoops including one to check I wasn't laundering money but nothing like that!

That seriously blows, I'm supprised they do that with very little heads up.

If I were you i'd contact them about their policy on reimbursing you the full value of the money when it should have gone into your account not what it will be in 6 months and lost interest on the money.

I'd also file a complaint about how you were contacted about this without even being called by a representative.

Charge them interest on your money. I know I would. Get the money then start the claim.

A good tip is to owe someone associated with paypal, like ebay money.


Thats what I do. So every month, I paypal ebay for the previous month. Thats usually about £100 in fees.

Meaning if they closed my paypal account, I would be on the phone to ebay informing them that i cant pay what I owe until my paypal account is working.

If they need to help you to help themselves, its surprising what they can do for ya in a very short time.
