Also go into control panel/system/advanced. In the performance section click settings then make sure you have a tick in the 'use drop shadows for icon labels' as well
I don't see why not... I have about 13 PCs and only two of them need the latest and greatest graphics/gaming hardware... the rest of them I use for reading P8 and stuff - hardly worthy of all those pixel-shaders...
For the record my pc is the biggest load of gash known to man!
I have 512 ram in 2 x 256 sticks but can only use 1 cos it crashes all the time with 2 in it, same brand manufacturer etc
I don't play games on it so the spec aint brilliant.
As i remember you can have transparent icon labels in 2k but then it was a long old time ago i used it, so dont hold me to that. XP now im affaid to say purely for the fact i cannae be arsed to find drivers for everything .
