What about running an open Xball division for teams to enter who couldn't make it to the first ones?

Our junior team would be up for this - just the sort of thing we've been looking for to start them off.
I'll call you later today Rich when I finish work, as a load of our adult team would be willing to give up their time to help out reffing etc.....I could easily get 6-10 bodies to help out for the day.

This low cost idea seems like a good choice as whenever I have tried to get many of my school friends into paintball the cost has always drawn them away from the idea, Also would this be for totally new players or can people turn up with own gear ?
Its aimed at rookie and younger players who have been playing walk ons etc and are looking at getting into tournaments.
We wont have any kit at present we can directly hire out to players so they would have to get there own kit.
The idea is it is to serve as a basic stepping stone into either the 3 man or 5 man CPPS events and get eased into it gently rather than dropped into a world of hurt and confusion. Combined with some of the training days and clinics we will be running as well we feel we will have a complete bottom to top aproach for tournament paintball so anyone of any skill level can play and hopefully then we should get better retention figures and the sport will grow.
We will however be looking at running some site gun only type events aimed at schools in the holiday period as a taster for the tourney style.
