First, let me say I am not Elitist in any way
If guys can't afford to change their guns every 6 months, or have the latest upgrades, or the latest playing kit, that is no reflection on them. My Dark Angel is three years old, and she rocks. If its not broke, don't fix it. And i'm not the richest man in the world.
However, when you see guys at a tournie wearing old camo kit, shooting an old Mag with an Autofeed hopper and 100 shot pots, I don't think you worry too much about that player on the field. A guy who is serious enough about the game to practice regularly and hone his skills, is serious enough to spend a little money on the kit and look after it well. This goes doubly for teams. If they are all in the same gear, they look like a team who have their ideas on track. Guys who wear mixmatched kit, (unless its all fully sponsored top name gear and you recognise at least four of the players from other top teams) just look like guys who get together for a giggle four times a year.
