I wear Proteus by choice as I find they are the most comfortable and secure fit for me, and despite getting hit on the mask a number of times have never got paint in my eyes.
However, if you've had an experience with them that makes you feel less than 100% confident in your usual goggle system it is probably worth while to change to something else just for your own peace of mind. Bear in mind that everyone's face is a different shape, and what suits and fits one person perfectly may be very uncomfortable and not fit someone else they know - V-force make a very nice goggle that many people swear by but I hate wearing them as they don't happen to fit my particular face shape & I don't feel secure in them because of this.
Try out all the different makes and models you can to see if you can find anything you prefer to the Proteus, and by that I mean not just put them on & take them off 30 seconds later but see if you can borrow a set to wear for at least 10 minutes.
Rosie - if you have dry hair paint works as a wonderful moisturiser for it!
