Well, actually yeah, in tourney play three or four times already. I have a Flex 7. It hurts a little, so you obviously notice when you take the hit in the soft part, but at least three times this has happened to me and no paint to be found - still in the game! - and if it helps - I go for it.

Mind you, I've got one of the old JT's, a black/clear Flex 7 and the soft part has turned into something like skin color... The flexy part on that goggle is of greater area than on the proteus and really flexy and soft, so I guess it works better.
