I could perhaps get them posted to my relatives house in kentucky and he could use a different courier to bring them over (one that doesnt have great import charges) but I would still like someone else to sort the discounts and payments out and Id just sort the delivery out

mate, the import tax is payed to the customs/government in the u.k,
not the couriers

Got my Pink and Urban ones already cheers.
Putting a pair of pink up on classifieds after New Year.
Import tax will be judged on the value of the item. It isnt worth asking the seller to mark the price down because if your package goes missing you wont get the insurance. Also if customs open the package you will get hit BIG time.
Oh and marking as a gift doesnt work either.
Wait a few months and they WILL be available over here.

if i remember rightly as i have had to pay import duties when i have bought stuff from Hong Kong,

you pay 17.5% vat
4% import duty,

then the courier will charge you around £10-20 fee just to pay the money to customs and excise. Bar stewards. So if you did a group buy only difference is that you wouldn be paying the couriers each so you'd save £10-20.
