Joe was the only one with a decent marker, he could upgrade it to become awesome, whereas electro spyders..............

And you guys wonder why new players seem intimidated (and tend not to stick around) when it comes to 'the big boys' tourneys
Since when is it against the law to use any marker you want at tourneys (first ever round of the PA saw some Tippmans and Spyders!).
Maybe you should cut this guy some slack - you never know - he may just shoot you out with that spyder (yes - it is possible!).
Why not help this guy out - rather than just have a go at him - at least he's trying to get in to the sport (err - hobby).
