A true loyal and dedicated individual.
I was lucky enough to spend a whole year playing with Jay on Nexus and got very close with him.. long drill days at Bricketwood and driving back and forth to CPPS, and finally playing Nations Cup together for team GB.
It's really hit me hard and after speaking to some of the Nexus guys it's had the same effect, RIP Jay you absolute legend.

We are all very sad to hear the news @ Samurai Paintball. We had the pleasure of a few clinics last year with him and since we train at Bricketwood we have seen him “quite regularly”, he wasn’t around for a few weeks because of some health troubles and when we spoke to him there was talk about liquid in his lungs, however none of us knew he was battling with cancer.
Us having lost a player in 2007 to a terminal illness - can totally feel and understand what Nexus and other fellow ballers that knew him, but also family and friends are going through.
Our condolences to all that were close to him and it has been said before and will be said many more times - a huge loss for Paintball as well this place we call earth.

I've lost a true friend today, even though I knew about Jay's illness I am finding it difficult to come to terms with this.

Cancer F***ing SUCKS man!!. Recently lost a very close family member to this horrible disease and it smashed our family for six so my thoughts are with his family right now. I never knew the lad to speak to but heard so many reports over the years on his calibre as a top baller. I couldnt believe what i was reading when i found out this morning. A massive loss to his family, friends and team mates.

On behalf of Big Pete Martin, all the guys that played with him on the Tigers and myself, I would just like to say it was a pleasure to know Jay and he will be dearly missed. With respect to all the other teams he played for, once a Tiger always a Tiger and always our teammate.
