Sorry for the delay in replying to the post mate, ive been away for a few days.

domination is an amazing concept and is on of the best walk-ons anywhere in the UK. its success is down to the fact every element of the sport is catered for. you have the punters welcomed and encouraged (we were all punters once!) and fish doing a thankless job of seeing to the nitrogen refills (well that’s what the poor sod was doing at domination 6). you have the sup air and open area around the castle which appeals to the 'tourney' boys (sorry for over generalising fellas) and the 'scenario' lads running around the woods and other maps.

paintball is big enough for everyone’s interests and should accommodate all, not exclude or divide. i know we josh about the 'condom ball players with their guns that chop more paint than they shoot' and 'action man scenario players creeping around the foliage as if they were andy mcnabb'. but thats the beauty of domination and unreal. we all take the p*ss out of one another yet are the best of friends and have a great time shooting each other.

(theres also a good level of healthy competition ............come on you reds!!)

unreal and domination is catering well for the 'tourney boys' (sorry lads, there i go again) and its a good practice opportunity as well as fun.

BUT

As shades very kindly pointed out, theres scope and opportunity to involve the 'scenario players' more and hence tap into this ever growing aspect ofthe sport

why not cater specifically for probably 60% of all regular paintballers interests

(ooooh a touch of controversy!)

but lets face it, scenario and woodsball is getting bigger and most punters go into the woods then into tourney so with the help of shades myself and Gen Jim have been speaking to a lot of regulars up at unreal and on the forums. simon, steve, clifton etc. i think creating maps as good, or better than delta force (unreals biggest rivals) and hamburger hill (wed love your input mushed) will then allow for 4 or 5 annual dedicated scenario days and 2 or 3 woodsballs contests

specifics will work themselves out in the details but with the input of you guys, shades, jim, myself, chris and dr paul i can see 2006 being the most exciting year in the history of unreal and what an opportunity.

so come on, everyone’s welcome to offer their thoughts, we all want to make unreal the most amazing site in the uk

how?

its been built by you for you

a customised site for the customers

how may paintball sites can claim that!

Change is always good, but as the owner of HH will tell you, it is all about time. He has had the site for 18 years and still changing and adding to it. I have been to sites where things are just knocked up with a nail gun and a bit of 2x2, which okay works, but it could be done so much better. I know this also incompasses the need for more money, but the final structure would be so more pleasing, and of a greater satisfaction A for the customer and B for the owner (chris and the lads).

Admitidly i enjoy HH as he has bought various ex army vehicals inc helicopters, tanks, etc etc, and just plays in a more realistic enviroment, castles and such are good dont me wrong, but they need to be done well in order for them to be appreciated (not saying Unreal isnt done well).

I just think a good site is designed for the player (whilst thinking of the owner), but made well as oppsed to being banged up, and just being asthetically pleasing instead of being well made.
