Mmm...biggest useful Pistol I have ever shot was a 454 Casul...dont see much point in going above that, unless it is braced and with a much longer barrel...to make the most of teh energy it produces...in which case you may just as well buy a rifle.

454 Casul is a mother tho...yummy!

Now...that is a useful rifle.

You see...teh problem with .50BMG rifles liek teh Boys, and more modern Barrett..is...they arent really much good for anything other than long range soft targets (at which they arent that accurate) or shorter range Hard Targets...given teh size and weight, and tremendous noise and flash teh produce, they arent exactly inconspicuous either.

However, the Cheytac...has amuch better ballistic co-efficent..and is super accurate at long ranges...I believe a SEAL Sniper team but in a 3 shot group of around 16 inches, at a range of 2Km...thats accurate.

I want one anyway...

Would seem that it was most likely a blank round that went off..possibly also part of the demonstration, just not when he expected...I imagine if he shot himself in the leg, that he wouldnt have continued the demostration...nor would he have been standing up afterwards.
Being a blank round in a real firearm, it would certainly have hurt his leg, hence the limp...also, it didnt sound loud enough to be a live round.

Twat for not checking though...dont trust an American Rasta with POLICE written on his T-Shirt...

The Smoking Gun (what an appropriate name) seems to suggest that it was loaded. Well, it says accidentally discharged...but I'd guess they'd state if it was loaded with blanks.

On topic, smoking gun is pretty interesting, lots of cool crime reports, and celebrity mug shots!

Thing is...its very difficult to get a Glock to go off accidently.
Firstly...it has an internal hammer, so that cant be caught (Berretta 92's etc all have external hammers)...secondly, it has a main safety catch..thirdly...on the blade of the trigger, is for want of a better description, a small trigger built into the blade, which has to be depressed by the finger, in order for the gun to fire...so you cant just catch the trigger by accident...you have to catch the secondary safety as well.
And its not a Glock 40...its a Glock 17 in .40 Smith and Wesson...the pansier version of the 10mm Glock 17...which was deemed too much gun for the FBI agents (mainly the women Agents) so they got them in .40 SW instead...10mm Glock is very rare.

Would you take on a Battalion of tanks...2 miles away with your Bowie knife and PPK then?

At least with the Cheytac, you can take out the Tank Comanders in relative safety from a distance!

The gun was loaded with actual bullets, not blanks.

He is currently sueing his force (CIA, DIA or whatever one he works for) as they released the video to public after one of the witnesses handed it over and now he cannot do undercover work.
