well, Europe screwed up their chances well and truly. But however you look at it, if it works out surely everyone will benefit, however indirectly.

Europe has screwed up it's chances of being part of the NXL, but that dosn't mean that EURO paintball is dead!
It's a massive opportunity for us to move off in a direction that is best for Europeans instead of following the Yanks.

Finally, a positive spin on the whole situation.

Do you not think that the Euro market is not ready for a deal like the American one yet? AT least EXL can grow with the European market, and not outgrow it to try and keep up with the Americans.

Euroball has in the past done it's own thing, and the Yanks just coppied it. Create our own league, our own rules, and promote it from within Europe.

I guess what i'm getting at is Piper's thread title says 'it' done' and that's possibly the truest thing ever said about the whole NXL euroball situation.

They've gone, and as far as i can make of it, there's no chance for Euroballers to be part of the NXL. But that dosn't mean that we give up and stop playing ball, and stop trying to develop true professional paintball over here.

Appart from the NXL, all the major inovaitons in paintball have come from Europe. We have great minds over here, there's no reason that they can't develop Euroball into something far bigger and better than the Yanks and their NXL.

I spoke at length to Niall yesterday and at least he has a pragmatist’s head on.
I think what is needed and he was in agreement too on this, is some sort of think tank where people who know what they are talking about get together and discuss what is possible.

These discussions should not be restricted to members of the Millennium board !!!!!

Clear and analytical thinkers like Sergei need to be involved along with people on the Millennium board.

The Millennium is the platform on which any new enterprise can be launched but since any changes affect all of European paintball at multiple levels, this should then open up the discussion stage to certain other people.

The die is cast now as far as any joint enterprise is concerned, what's needed now is a logical assessment of what we want, if we can get it, how we can organise and maintain it and who can do it.
These are questions that need to be answered (and many more besides) by the right people and we need to do it now ...well pretty soon anyway.

With Campaign Cup just 4 weeks away, it seem that this will be the best opportunity for all like minded parties to have such a meeting.

I'm pretty new to the paintball scene and i suppose my view won't mean as much but i agree with what people have said in previous posts we should stop tryin to be yanks and start acting like the brits, frenchies, germans, Italians, etc that we are.
Paintball in ways is just like any other sport in some aspects different parts of the world have different leagues i mean no-one complains about different countries having different football (soccer ;) ) leagues do they.

I think this is a really good thing to happen and now we should concentrate on the great European teams rather then the great american teams. By all means from time to time there should be international matchs like in any other sport but for the moment Europe lets focus on ourselves and make paintball even bigger and better in our home countries.

Thats my little bit
No matter what lets keep ballin
