Dunno but I've seen front players when diving landing smack bang onto there tank and if some cases seen dropforward snapping

If your bottle went while you were holding it you wouldn't know much about it
Probably be quicker to turf over you than to pick your bits up.
Wierd that we have to ask.......all those players and it's never happened. Most likely would be the same effect as any blast without shrapnel..... lethal at close range from the blast, but just a lot of noise to everyone else.
I've been searching for any cases (not just paintball) and there doesn't seem to be a lot of info.

Tell you what............ lets NEVER EVER find out for sure

Re-design fields to have armour plated inflatables and side protection. Also an emergency lawn mower on standby for after they turf over ya

Thing that worries me with all this diving malarky is the amount of leverage put on your reg if you land on your bottle. Was talking to someone the other day who had heard of a screw-in preset reg shearing off at the bottle neck after a diving incident - after being hit in the chest by a 4500psi-propelled bottle, the bloke in question was rushed to hospital with internal injuries.

Survived apparently, but was a very unwell bunny for a while.

Personally I'll continue to amble gently into my positions.

Quite correct, this is another reason why we must proceed with human embryo cloning, so we can fully introduce and grow our own expendable Bunker Monkey's. This way we can also lose any impefections they currently have (the power of self thought, speech etc etc)
