Would an offer of help from the Governing Body (or at least part of it) be of assistance?

That would be absolutely superb mate... we thought we'd wait and see if you were interested, rather than bug you.
Definately childrens charities (I'm a teacher of special needs), we are currently in discussion (this is open to everyone involved, so post away)...... We want this to be a consensus by the paintball community, not my choices (I work for the National Autistic Society and initially, this was going to be small and for them.. but I think it's going to be a lot bigger).
So far, I think Save the children would be highly appropriate, that way, people all over th UK can feel involved
But we are open to suggestions.

I've E.mailed laods of mags, targetting their "web-editors" except max-power........ I got very distracted by the scenery on that one.

Lots of support so far, teams willing to set up and marshal, people with agency contacts, charity connections and UKPSF top blokes....... bear in mind I only posted on Friday!!!!!!!! So thanks for the response, it's looking excellent.

I haven't E-mailed any specific paintball publications yet, I'm just pulling in names and getting suggestions so far, remember, this only started 2 days ago....... we haven't had a "work day" yet, and nothings set in stone. But I will be contacting PGI as soon as I've got something concrete to tell them.
Anyway, this is their turf so they'll know about it before I can tell 'em.
At the moment, it's a paintball community thing... so we are taking names and listening to ideas, keep them coming.

If we can get some 'names' there, what are the chances do you think of getting a little bit of news coverage, like when the news at ten finishes its like, "Tracy Shaw from Coronation Street tonight waps out her norks on stage and all these people came to see, and here's Tracy's view on the thing......." followed by an interview with her. Now if thats on the ten oclock news, surely a charity event with a load of different people should warrant it.
Just a thought.
