i would say that if you are looking to play paintball seriously woods or tourney and u wanna get some nice gear but dont have a big cash flow to blow on ur gear i would advise getting things in parts.
when i started i got some pretty **** gear then when i went to play again i ended up replacing every peice of kit i had apart from my kit bag :)
i would advise getting a very nice mask most important part of your kit best if u can go to a local pb shop and try some googles on jt goggles are nice and i3 i4 goggles are nice aswell fit nice good lenses and i find comfortable but most are down to preferance so as i say get to a shop and try some on.
then save a bit of cash and get a hoppper elec feed are the best they vary in price but u can get some nice ones on here in the for sale section

then save some more and get your marker again you can get some nice ones on here in the for sale section or ge new a good start marker is the slg and the pmr i use a pmr and i have played many big games and woods ball with it and it works a dream.

then you want to save for your tank best is a hpa tank as majority of sites use hpa as apossed to co2 again many choices of tank out there but i find the pure energey to be fine as a start up tank.

i say all this because u may find u spend £200 on your gear and in a few months u get really into the sport and find that u are not happy with ur kit and u end up replacing it all and u feel u have wasted your money.

hope this has helped

Marker:Vibe=137
Hopper: invert too=58
Goggles: Proto axis=60
Bottle: 40 (for a steelie)

These prices are brand new, so if you intend to buy second hand knock maybe 10-20% off

that is the kind of setup you should be looking at. personally i would probably take an SLG over a Vibe SLG's are maybe £100 second hand? simple to maintain and user friendly.

But you'd say the same for the Vibe. So what's the difference?

Just a thought, would Ebay be a good idea? 'Cause i want one new, but i can't afford a really good marker, i have a budget of about £200 for as much as possible.
Firstly, ebay doesn't/shouldn't although it can happen sell markers (in the UK anyway)

Ok, let's lay this out simple to you as i know there's a lot to read.
£200............
Right.
First - Goggles (it's an opinion thing, but don't buy anything less than £40 or else you'll just end up replacing it after a while. What's the point of even having a marker if you can't see? I suggest Proto Pro Axis £55 but the i3's are quite nice too.

Second - now you want to think about your marker. If you're on a budget (£200) my suggestion would be a vibe/slg or somewhere between. If you're worried about not getting an item you've payed for here, ask them if you can meet up somewhere, that way you can see what you're getting.

If you want all the gear you're going to need, you will need to up your budget by at least £50 or so. If not, just buy your goggles, save, save, save, then get your gear. Besides xmas is on it's way and paintball gear vouchers could be if you wanted them to be :D

Just remember, there's a lot of stuff to buy in paintball

Goggles
Marker
Hopper
Air Tank
Pack
Pods
Maintenance stuff
Jersey
Pants (trousers whatever)

And that'd just the minimum really :(

Hope this helps.

I wouldn't suggest buying with the idea of UP'ing the marker i.e. better barrel, better electronics, better this that and the next thing. Buy something that works out the box, UP'ing markers costs a small fortune, money you will never get back. Just have a look at what a good dye barrel costs, or a freak kit, etc.
I like the idea of not buying a barrel, it saves me money ;)

I've got so many replies i just don't know where to start! :D

Initialy i wanted the JT Flex 8 goggles, is it worth paying the extra £10 to get Proto Axis? I will be playing mostly woodsball, so the chances are it's going to rain every day, does it matter if the Proto Axis don't have a visor? Or should i buy one for like £5?

And i think i will get a Vibe or a Proto SLG, would this be a good place to get it from?

With googles buy whatever fits you best and not get what people have told you to get as each set fits everyone different and what might be good for one person is not good for another.

With markers, the ones that you have posted can be bought at any of the uk paintball shops.

Also if you live near a shop go and try on the mask and also ask about markers there as well and the shops if they have them in stock will let you a look at the marker so that you can get how it feels in your hands.

Ok thanks. Would anyone happen to know a paintball shop in Croydon/Central London?
