Hi chaps,

I have a 4500 psi regulator and 4500 psi tank, but the reg takes a "donkey" style screw-in bottle, and the only bottle valves I can find are 3000psi...... is there such a thing as a 4500 psi valve?

i think the armagedons have a screw in bottle with a valve and they are 4500psi...try the air america web site (i think its them that makes em) or try emailing one of the bigger shops like planet and asking them
what sort of reg is it?

It's an Air American Unireg 320...... way old, but still works a treat, and will do 4500psi. Apparently in the early days of Nitro/Air, some stupid EU law meant that you had to have an on/off valve inline with the bottle, so the UK version uses a screw in tank and valve.

I tried Air America UK (i.e John and Jackie Sosta!) and they don't do a 4500 psi capable valve..... just wondering if anyone else does one- seems a shame to have a 4500psi capable reg and tank, but be held back by a silly tank valve!

I have a geddon with a 4500psi bottle with the "lovely" screw thread. Bottle is made by SCI threaded 0.625-18UNF HSE tested and the valve is Air America

What you may require is on the Air America Europe section of the Airguns Designs Website

Its called an Armageddon Arm valve and they have it advertised as available in 3000 & 4500 psi

Ah that looks interesting, cheers..... so to make sure I get this straight..... if you screw that into your tank it effective turns it into a "CO2 style" bottle, i.e. it would screw into a normal female donkey/bottle adaptor?

1. This will definitely not fit a CO2 ASA, it's too big
2. It's also not a regulated valve, it's a full pressure "pin" valve
3. It's to be screwed into a seperate inline reg.
4. Valve screws directly into your bottle

the 320 is only rated to 3000 psi it will take 4000 but its not recomended by air america.

the pv2000 valve is the bottle neck as it pops a seal when you push the pressure above 3k

id just forget the system if you can and contact pheonix im told they are doing preset 4500 regs for under £100.

you need to ask yourself do you want to risk your health and the health of others playing with 4000 in a 3000 psi system. just isnt worth the risk if you ask me.

P.S.

you would also be invalidating any insurances of the site and would be directly personally responsible for any damage to others of any sort caused by your equipment if you do use it outside of the manufacturers specification. even if it had nothing to do with the air system .

here endeth my speech :)

Actually it was Air America USA who told me that the system is fully upgradeable (the reg is almost identical to the 4500psi raptor), and you're right, it's only the bottle valve that is the problem...

I was really keen on using this system as we are sponsored by Air America, but even so I can't afford a new 4500 system :(

I've seen the X Stream on Phoenix.... looks like a good reg, and adjustable too. If I can't source a 4500 psi it'll have to be the way to go.
