Joe_Bob,

Noticed you were mentioning the Spyder Extreme and chopping in the same sentence.....I've just bagged one off the classifieds, was wondering whether it chops more than most other entry-level semis?

I've got a 16" Stealth barrel on order from Armson for my Sterling, but i've heard this will also fit the thread for the Spyder, can anyone confirm or deny this rumour?

Cheers

Progressive

I've had a good experience with Smart Parts barrels, never used a Freak though, but both 14'' All American and 12'' Progressive.

Tom Kaye of airgun designs, www.airgun.com and Ravi Chopra, www.paintballravi.com, have opinions of barrels that I feel are trustworthty. Tom talks about effective lenght of barrels to be useful and accurate and Ravi about porting (the holes in the front end of the barrel).

And based on what those 2 are talking about I bought a 12'' Progressive for all of my needs... :)

Get good paint and either of those 2 or the Teardrop will do nicely. I've not chopped a ball during a game for over a year now with Marballizers. For my part the difference in the Teardrop and Progressive is one of looks, the Teardrop is cooler. AA has more porting, but is uses more air, i.e. less shots per tank fill. That could be a due to the length, but also because of more porting according to Ravi.
