Most often I unscrew the tank from the marker, but then I have a screw-in fixed output tank and reg so it's easy.
Most of the guys I play with have Shockers with Max-Flow 4500, they need to fill in pairs...one to hold the marker and read the gauge...one to turn and close the scuba valve...
I unscrew the tank from the marker when filling to lessen the weight on the fill rig, even when holding the marker, I feel I could always misalign the stuff by not holding it aligned enough...stuff that is holding back 3000 or 4500 psi of pressure is something to respect....
