To those who argue that the wish of restaurant owner to employ racially indigenous people of their establishment's theme is not racist:

How do you think the media would react to a 'British' restaurant owner (for example, 'Ye Olde British Diner' for arguments sake!) openly wishing to employ racially indigenous people of Britain? Does it make a difference if the products being sold (in this case, food) hail from the same nation as the supplier? (the restaurant)

More trivially, Budda's point that;

Fact is that the vast majority of Europeans can't cook Asian food like the Asians can.
could surely be brought into play and legitimately reversed here? This would entirely separate the issue from race regardless of the legitimacy of the statement, it's all conjecture.

The same could be said for any nation. Regardless of which era of people you would choose to define as racially indigenous to Britain (Anglo Saxons and Normans), the same point could be made for absolutely any nation of people. The central point here is that since then, those people have formed their own cultures. Just take a look at the amount of ethicities indigeous to China; http://www.indigenouspeople.net/ChineseLit/chinaindig.html .

Edit: I conceed that it is a valid point to make that Celts (ie, the Welsh) also have a large stake within those races indigenous to Britain. However, recent research has shown that they underwent an 'ethnic cleansing' from the Anglo Saxons across England.

As Mario already suggested, it is not discriminatory to only employ people of a specific ethnicity or sex if job has some special characteristics related to these attributes.

Some examples are restaurants, some types of schools, homes for women who have run from domestic violence, same sex hostels - any other similar scenarios which are genuine, The Queen/her office can do so without reason, if you are a private landlord you can also do so....

The fact that it is technically possible for a white person to be able to cook Asian cuisine better than a competing Asian person is irrelevant. The real question is whether or not there is a sound, genuine basis (as far as the law is concerned) for the discrimination. In one of the scenarios above, a man could try to sue for being refused employment at a home for abused women, but it's clear to see that there is a genuine reason for the discrimination and he wouldn't get very far. The same thing applies to restaurants (in this country) and so on, unless you are the Queen (not A queen) or a landlord anyway.
