Is it just me or does everyone suffer from this problem?

In the couple of years that i've been willing to let my team mates shoot me a lot (i'm dead generous like that:D ) i've noticed that getting shot anywhere on the body leaves a welt that is gone in a couple of days.
However when ever someone shoots me in the upper thighs it can take over a month for the welt to disappear. Is this just a peculiar trait of mine or do the rest of you out there share this affliction?

Not really the most important question ever asked on here but is the best i can do on a boring Sunday afternoon!

:( Yep, got one of those beauties on my left leg yesterday and a rather fetching circlular bruise in the centre of my forehead - paintball sucks when you have a bad day...

Easy explanation........ foreheads and thighs don't lay down much fat (even on back players), so when the ball hits, it hits skin stretched tight over muscle tissue (or skull) so the bruise is more pronounced as the balls impact doesn't get absorbed by soft underlying tissue.

Yup, it'll do that, impact drives the damage deep, shoulders tend to do it too, but you take hits there quite often and shrug it off quicker...... you've also got the psychological side to a thigh hit........... that nearly got me in the...... it's worse if your in mid stride and the muscle is tensed up, the impact isn't dissapated at all.
