Is Dynasty too good for their own good?

Here's my question:

Does anyone think that Dynasty is going beyond being useful to a sponsor? If they would win with any gun, doesn't that obviate the value they reflect on their sponsors products by winning?

I am taking the quote out of context, but I think the sentiment expressed is widely held.

I think we see Dynasty as Dynasty and not by what products they use. I think Dynasty is a brand name in itself now, that could probably sell ice to eskimos. The marketing for this team has been superb.

Now wether or not they are any use to a sponsor I would say yes, just for the fact of the association with the Dynasty name.

But arn't all world no.1's the same? Would Slazzenger or whoever sponsered Pete Sampras stop sponsering him because he could win with any raquet? No because people will still associate winning with that brand...

I think most people will just say to themselves: Ok I want a gun that can perform at the highest level.... they will then look at what the various big teams are using and choose a gun that has had alot of wins this season. If the SC Ironmen are shooting Matrixes and get creamed the whole season and play like ****e I think the Matrix definitely won't sell as well. And hence the Shocker will sell very well after having Dynasty winning with it at Huntington, and the more they win the more will sell..... people like having a winners gun in their hands, they feel safer.

I think the Timmy will have the best sales this year.

i know i was even thinking about getting a one but then i realised it was a shocker. just goes to show what marketing can do.

To be honest if you are the sort of person that will buy a gun based on which sponsored teams use it, then you are also the sort of person who will buy whatever gear is advertised by the fittest girls (sorry, people!!!! Must not descriminate!! )

Informed purchases will be made regardless of whether dynasty is shooting shockers or sterling STP's. Stupid, ill informed buys will always be made by those who are victims of the marketing machine. Dynasty will never be useless to sponsors, as inexperienced people will always go for whatever is shot by the blingest, most famous people out there!

I wouldn't have bought a shocker 6 months ago, and I won't buy one now!!!! However, I have been looking at Angels........

Top teams have a choice of gun to use. They don't have to chose a cr@p one. Avalanche in PGI said they settled on the Timmy as thats what they knew worked and worked well.
Gun choice has a lot to do with function. Thats why Dynasty didn't go with the Tippman offer
