Go Robbo!

You tell him what's what!

As I know your theory is true, is the point of a longer barrel only for accuracy? What other positive effect do longer barrels have?

On a Sup'air field, a longer barrel like a 14 inch barrel really helps if you're the kind of guy that likes to manipulate your bunker. Why pop out when you can just bend the bunker in :)

Hey Inferno good one mate... I bet that guy was mad when your mate let him in on the Joke!

As for the Velocity VS accuracy and all that technical ****... I keep my mouth shut! There are guys like Robbo, KillerOnion and one other that are the kings of such subjects so unless you have read their post in the past and agree they will squash you like a cockroach!:p

Longer is not better. It does not help the accuracy or distance. This point has been argued many times before.

Some, shall I say confused, pros use 16" barrels. Why, who knows? Maybe for sup'air, but other than that I see no advantage.

I personally use 10" single bore barrels.

Hey Jeevus, I'm afraid there are only two reasons why people have longer barrels, firstly they think it makes their marker 'look' better or they mistakenly think it improves performance.

Robbo your right loner barrels do not affect the performance of the gun except wasting air. BUT longer barrels may effect the performance of the player.

Some people need a longer reffernce point for aimming (I don't know what that word means eather). So longer barrels may not make a ball fly straiter but it may inable a person to hit what they are shooting at.

Jynx - I agree with that point.

I can aim a gun with a 14 or 16" barrel a lot better than a 12" or below. I have NO idea why but I can, so therefore to make me more accurate I need that length of barrel.

Plus, i dig that Sup-air point too.

To me I think the whole arguement is academic, kinda like the what is best gun one. Whatever equipment you get should make you feel comfortable and confident when you are playing - if it doesn't then it isn't any good, regardles of cost/manufacturer/hype
