I find that EXTREMELY hard to believe. The likely hood of them making a new extrusion just for a small custom run of gun bodies = not very :D They don't cut any deeper into the Kapp bodies than some of the original Image matrix's. And it still meets up with the modules at the front so I would say 'No'. But it does sound like a good thing for them to say to justify the cost of their guns :D

There is material to work with on the matrix, you can see that from what they have done with the Ironman above. You just need a bit more ability and clever toys to work with thinner parts or more complex components and can't rely so much on the previously prevalent 'hack it and hope' approach which is much more common in paintball :D

If anyone has shot a matrix with an eye, you'll know that functionally it's awesome.
You can wail on the trigger and you simply can not break paint.
combine speed with low pressure accuracy, and the new effiecent bolts, and you've got one sick paint throwing machine gun.

But personally i feel that the gun needs to be re-designed, taken back to the drawing board taking into account all of the upgrades and modifications that people are doing now. You could shave a lot of weight off, and make the gun beautiful if it was designed right.

Look at mk1 angels, and look at the new speeds, it's hard to believe that this is the same gun!

Exactly what people said after railing on the Viking :D Function over form! (except no upgrade required;))

You guys are all talking about the Limited Edition Ironman Matrix that's already out if not shipping.

I clarified some info last night. There is also a Matrix 2 coming out sooner than you'd think. Dye is taking over production of the Matrix and the big, old and clunky one is going away. Dye is going to make it cheaper so you know the older style will be long gone.

Dye has big things in store for you Matrix lovers. And you people that don't like the Matrix will also be impressed.

This isn't just hype like the 2k3 shocker. It will happen.

and the 2K3 shocker isnt happening?

hmm thought i saw picsof it in play..hey guess my eyes got it wrong!

anyways have shot a matrix in play and just for fun and i gotta say its a fabulous marker but its a little bit too much hungry for air then my 45/45 can give it so unless they they do something radical to reduce the air consumption to the same level as...o the timmy ill just be a happy bystander!
