I am still sort of a beginner but definately want to play alot in the furture, but want to buy a gun now. For the foreseeable future i will be playing woodsball but hopefully moving towards tourneys etc, and the choice i have is either:

an autococker trilogy comp - (i'd use c02 with remote line)

or smart parts ion - i'd use HPA

im worried that if i buy the cocker, and later want to sell it, i'd get raped with it depreciating, but if i got the ion, it would probably be wasted on me playing woodsball and things.. what do you think?

For Christ's sake, DO NOT BUY a new Cocker!!! There...

Loads of s/h Cockers going cheap...I have an E2 that I would sell for £350...if not a new or secondhand Ion would be a good buy, you can also get Shockers fairly cheap now...there two on the classifides, ex Fat Ladoes Charms guns..says £600 each but £350 is more like it as they are nothing special...

Ion all the way.

You should get the Ion with a air system. The autococker trilogy is a nice marker I had a go with one last sunday but I just think if you are wanting to move from playing in the woods to playing on a teem you will need some thing with a bit more of a kick.
P.S. you will want to get a 4500psi air system as the Ion is a bit of a gas hog.

For more infor about the Ion go to www.ionowners.com

Why only the Trilogy Comp..? There are plenty of other cocker setups to choose from.

E1 Cocker with Zero B > Ion. No arguments.

As said above, buy second hand.

funny that...

im wanting to get a new marker...

and i was torn between the Smart Parts Ion & the WGP Autococker Trilogy Pro

i cant decide on the 2, i hear the ion has a lot going for it though..

Can anyone give me any advice and pros/cons of the 2 markers?

the ion is better than the autococker trilogy comp no question but if you can get an E1 cocker with zero b board second hand wich is better than an ion in my opinion.

yeah but for now i mean, i will probly be using it for woodsball and its a MAYBE for going tourney / teams route.... i know the ION is a better gun etc but it's more expensive (both deals im buying second hand) and it might be wasted on me, (also a waste of money)...

see what i mean?

personally, i thought the Ion was cheaper than the trillogy comp (unless im thinking of the Pro..) or maybey because your buying second hand, the ions price is still high as its a new marker...

the price difference cant be that much, and if the ion is a better gun, then i would think that choice is clear...

(myself im starting to steer towards the Ion after doin a lil research..)
