have ion with a ramping problem.. fires fine setting the velocity at 290.. but when it ramps the paint falls short (loses pressure) used high pressure preset & low. no difference.. can you help..

THIS MESSAGE IS TO THANK EVERYBODY WITH THE HELP GIVEN

replaced the seals in the reg, fitted a 0-600 psi gauge as running on low pressure & if reg was to let by would`nt knacker the gauge again. bought a crono as needed to check the fps, ran the air from the cylinder to allow it to be fully screwed in. had a leak on the back small pipe going from the solonoid to the rear banjo (replaced pipe) gased up to pressure 190 psi and tested single shot at 289fps......... went into ramp and works fine!! AGAIN MANY THANKS TO ALL THOSE WHO HELPED........ JON

As Bulldog says, give the reg a good clean.
Also, I'm not too good with Ions (Shocker's are more my tech side) but check out the orings on the bolt, may be losing pressue somewhere. I had the same problem with my Shocker, single shot was fine but multiple would be plain useless. Found out it was the front inner o-ring - it has a hairline cut causing it not to pressurise correctly.
Maybe the same problem for you.

Are you using the Hosing that came stock with it? It has a very small inner diameter which could restrict the gas flow.

If you are using the stock elbows, you'll notice that they have filters in them (at least there was on my Ion), check that they are clear of Deris etc.

There is also a filter in the Vertical ASA that is quite often removed, some say that it again restricts the gas flow at higher ROF.

Hope that helps.....:)
