To reassemvble the solenoid, drop the armature back into the housing with the rubber end going in first. Once it's in, reinstall the solenoid head into the top of the housing. Note that the small notch on the bottom of the brass head section must face forward, or else the solenoid won't function (you also won't be able to install the body if this is put on wrong).

If no QEV, Joey - check the noid is clean - nick may right, it may be something getting caught there

Then IF all the above has been checked, then it sound like a fault on the board - poss with the cap. If you want to just send the board to me, I'll have a look at it for you. Up to you, mate...

If the pressure on the gauge drops then surely the problem is before the gauge.

I would think that if the problem was after the gauge then it would still read the correct pressure?

yep, i was thinking along the same sort of lines myself.

ive rang up smartparts, they suggested it was either the battery or something blocking the reg. both have been checked.

If so try their reg on you gun, if that dont fix it try i diff bottle, if that dont fix it then send it of to smart parts so they can service/fix it.
