h'ok took the pneunatics/board out and reconnected the battery, im really not feeling any movement, there is however just a very quiet tink occuring when i pull the trigger with the eyes off (apart from the click of the microswitch.

ill take you up on that bazillion squillion bet or we cud just call it a pint next time im in dorset ;)

Ok, gibbsey, do what i said before but this time carefully pry the bracket off and take the noid head off. Now when you pull the trigger switch you should be able to SEE the bar moving up and down. It it does, but then doesn't when you put the bracket back on, the bracket has become magnetised (which I believe I was the first ever person to diagnose, and Jay just had a go at me for taking the noid head off, which is part of general maintenance anyway...) If it doesn't move with the head off, then the board is farked

Trust me Gibbsey, I can diagnose it. My bazillion squazillion quid (or pint, whatever ;) ) is still safe
