Hate to correct you, big guy, but there are SP techs out there that consider it one of the fastest regs available - faster than CP - as long as it's kept serviced.

See here

Yes, as Skeet says, they will work on LP (400ish) but are happier not be starved so 850 is preferable. Ed is not correct that you want something just above 150 - it needs to be substantially above that or you will get horrific shootdown and a low max FPS

Okey cokey..I heard it was crap...however, does recharge reflect on it's consistency?

Bit bummed...how does the Vert Maxflow compare? An is teh CP better than the Vert Maxflow...hope so, coz Ive just bought one!

Read somewhere you only need about 100psi more out of the bottle than is coming out the reg. Can't remember where it was but it seemed a pretty reliable source otherwise i'd have taken it with a pinch of salt.

Oh well, you live and learn....and i just did  :D

I like the way the guy said its faster by 10psi.

Thats 7 fluid ounces more worrying and 12 coulobms funnier than the last time I went on PBNation.

Agreed - presumably the rate of recharge is a volume per time unit - possibly a pressure per time unit, but not a pressure.

Skeet - I'll wait for John or Tom or some other learned fellow to correct me on this but recharge is not the same thing as consistency, but they are usually fairly closely linked. The Vert Maxflo is a great reg though kind of heavy and complicated, and The CP's certainly have a very good reputation.

It's just that everyone knocks the stock reg and there's American obsession with changing the reg on almost all gats, but the stock one is actually a really good reg - if not a thing of beauty (last tourney, my Ion shot 285, 285, 285 over the chrono and the chrono judge had to go off to make sure the chrono weasn't broken. It wasn't :) )

i heard air systems nowadays are all very samey samey.

I shoot an ion, with a LP Angel screw in air system, i just screw it in and go over the chrony ... never have any problems, its consistent and doesnt get shoot down, or whatever you crazy kids are calling it these days.
