Wont stay shiny either...will corrode and get duller, needing polishing regularily, same as teh mag frames did...unles you coat it in a hard clear lacquer.

Agreed, but it doesn't bother me. Project Destroyer Ion is nearly finished and everyone who sails in her think she rocks. I feel a little 'CIA' at wiping my prints off the gat at the end of the game, mind...

if you do laquer it be sure and bake it for about 3 hours if you dont water can get beneath the laquer and it turns white

if you try to anodise it and get the paint in the threads it can (on occasions) fcuk it, seen it done a few times now. sent a shocker off to be done professionally and they cocked up the ano on the threads and needed a new v-reg.
