Makes me wonder why SP dont go cocker threaded only, rather than Ion threaded only.
Since cocker thread is by far and away the most popular barrel threading.

Make more money selling Ion threaded barrels and backs?

they only made 73 element 85 style frames, you can buy one from the states for about $200

Its not suprising to me.
Cocker is the most prominent barrel thread. The motivation of the guys designing PL shockers is to sell guns not barrels. So it makes perfect sense to use a barrel thread that most people already have.
As Mike from Brum pointed out, SP are only sticking with Ion theads to sell more barels.

I suppose, though the PL shockers all come with the most expencive barrel from Smartparts, so i guess Smartparts win no matter what
