got to say it does the job beautifully on my ion...i run it with a halo b and it has never let go...although getting the stock feedneck off can be fun....its worth it.

I am at a point where i may attempt using a cutting torch.
I thought about using my mums sunday roast gravy to melt the feedneck out, but i wanted a gun left to put the new feed neck in.

Do they use red loctite to hold them in?

i use blue locktite for everything...so i dont know if red would be good...
if you dont care about the old feedneck then i will tell you what i did.....

i used a set of adjstable grips and a tea towel...wrap the towel around neck..then put the grips over the towel until they are very secure..the gently twist the grips and marker in oposit directions....also check the base of the feedneck as the can sometimes be excess paint that locks it on.

just stick the feedneck in e vice and twist the gun. makes life easy
