put some cloth round the feedneck, to stop any scratching, and then clamp it in a vice and twist anti-clock wise, i think that might work

some good and bad suggestions here, just remember SP put different amounts of loctite on, so some come off at the drop of a hat, some require heatin.
mine was very very tight when i had an ion i just used a strap wrench and it came off after a couple of tugs
and no bull My feed neck fell off, it was 1 of the 1st in the uk 00002280 i think the scerial is
Heat it up so u wont risk stripping the threads

I went through several of the sugestions when changing mine (ie heating it, vice grips flushing it down the toilet). But I ended up just getting a gripped jar opener (you know those small pieces of cloth for women to open jars with) and then getting a lock wrench and turning. It took 2 secs. Also stops any damaging aswell.
